At starbuck before heading over to Dozo for dinner.
I have totally no idea where yf will be taking me to for dinner.
all i know is, the restaurant is called Dozo, they serve Japanese-French cuisine and I will be having a 7 course dinner.
Reached and I am surprised + impressed! the ambiance is surprisingly good. teehee. i am always the one picking the restaurant and I am quite particular about both the food and ambiance while yf is more particular about the quality of the food. I expect the place he picked to be more known for the quality of the food rather than a mixture of both. the place is quite big (imo) with private rooms, lounge area and dinning area. i would say the deco is pretty hotel-ish classy with a hint of contemporary vibe. me likey! :)
I didnt take any picture of the surrounding but i kope this picture from their site:

the entrance.

vase of somen-stick.

Complimentary drink , a "palette cleanser".
taste like the passion fruit :) it is pretty good but we agreed that the one serve at Amara Resort is better.
our 7 course dinner:
1. Amuse-bouche

the chef's selection: foie gras, scallop with asparagus with some bread and smoked salmon.
my favourite: foie gras
2. cold dish:

mine: king crab claw salad
the orangy stuff on top of the crab claw are mango rice

yf: seasonal sashimi platter

delish!
3. side dish

mine: foie gras chawanmushi
the chawanmushi was pretty smooth and tasty with a hint of foie gras taste

yf: Escargots top with yuzu butter
4. soup

French onion soup
theres a piece of bread in the soup

beef consomme
5. Main

Tiger prawn on mille-feuille

Beef tenderloin
6 & 7: drinks and dessert
